Curtsy is an old tradition that is still used by the British Empire. Cursty is done to pay homage to the enthroned king or queen.
In episode 2 of the documentary Harry & Meghan, Meghan Markle admits that she doesn't know about the customs of the royal family. In fact, Meghan can only imagine herself being asked to bow to the queen like in a show or movie set in the Middle Ages.
"I'm starting to realize this is a big thing. Americans will understand it. There's a Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament. It's like that," Meghan Markle said.
"I bow as if I... (bow). 'It is an honor to meet you, Your Majesty'. I thought at this moment, 'Is this true?'. It was so intense. Then as the queen left, Eugenie, Jack and Fergie said, 'That was great,'" he continued.
Now, Meghan Markle has been accused of lying about her confession that she did not understand curtsy. This is evidenced by one of the clips circulating on social media when the mother of two did curtsy in the series Suits.
"This is the video at Suits a few years ago when he showed curtsy perfectly. This video further proves he knew very well how to curtsy long before he met Harry," said a netizen on Instagram.
"This season was shot in 2010-2011 and aired in 2012. So all the bullshit on Netflix about curtsy to Queen Elizabeth is just done for mockery," he continued.
